The local currency opened at N712.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Lagos Nigeria after it closed at N710.00 per $1 on Friday, September 16, 2022. This represents a change in N4 from the previous day.

Even though, TOUCHAHEART reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market, sometimes known as the black market, the dollar to naira exchange rate opened at 712 for $1 today. As a result, the central bank advised anyone in need of foreign currency to contact their bank, reiterating that the I&E window is the only known exchange.

Touchaheart Nigeria reports that in the black market, the players buy a dollar for N710 and sell for N712 on Saturday, September 17, 2022, after they bought N707 and sold for N710 on Friday, September 16, 2022. This means the exchange rate changed its position from the previous day.
