Buhari has never stated that he will not pass over the presidency to Tinubu – Presidency

The Presidency denied on Friday that President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that he will not give over power to President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The Presidency dismissed the claim, saying that all preparations for the handover are in full swing and that the committee in charge of the handover is made up of officials from the administration and the President-elect.

It was stated that President Buhari’s Daura community has already begun arrangements to receive their son back after successfully leading the country for two terms of eight years.

“The Presidency wishes to denounce as absurd and fraudulent, and condemns the fake news brigade for attributing and disseminating a false comment to President Muhammadu Buhari,” said Mallam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

“How can you passionately advocate for someone, vote for him, and then refuse to hand over to him?” This defies comprehension.

“The Sahara Reporters’ predicament is fairly terrible because their ownership is politically partisan in today’s politics, in fact, a loser in the presidential race.” Instead of discussing concerns, they continuously sell lies in the hope that people would accept them as truth.

“The government is already in a transition period.” The Transition Committee was formed

“The government is already in the process of transition.” The Transition Committee, including of representatives from both the outgoing and new administrations, meets almost daily to organise the handover to the Tinubu/Shettima administration.

“Thirteen committees as offshoots of the main committee, some to organise military drills and take President Buhari out, are either all at work or will be soon.” So far, everything is going swimmingly, with no signs of a hiccup.

“As for the President, the Daura community has began preparations to receive their son back after two terms of eight years of successful governance.” He, for one, is looking forward to returning home to enjoy his retirement.”
