Chelsea And Leeds Concur On Raphinha

Chelsea And Leeds Concur On Raphinha

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Leeds United have fully agreed on a deal for Raphinha to be transferred this summer. Numerous clubs have expressed interest in the Brazilian, who has been linked with leaving the Yorkshire club.

Arsenal is the only other party to have submitted a proposal thus far, making it appear like the Blues is the first to reach an agreement with Leeds.

However, the Gunners have consistently been passed over because of their inadequate value.

Elite clubs’ interest in the 25-year-old is not surprising given his performance since relocating to England from Stade Rennais in 2020.

In the Premier League last season, he scored 11 goals and provided three assists to help his team stay in the top division.

Because of his performance, he has established himself as a dependable player for Brazil, making nine games since his debut in October of last year.

This led to the manager, Tite, publicly thanking his then manager, Marcelo Bielsa, for his work: “I publicly thank Bielsa for accompanying and working with Raphinha and all the coaching staff that brought him closer to the national team.”

His development also doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon; this summer, a transfer to a prestigious team is expected. Following Romano’s claim that a deal has been reached with Leeds, Chelsea is currently in the lead.

According to the reporter, a relocation for £60 to £65 million has been agreed upon, including add-ons. The next step entails discussions with the athlete and his agents, among them the former midfielder Deco.

There are still more twists and turns to come in this story, but it seems like Chelsea has made significant progress in improving their offensive alternatives.
