Seyi Makinde Meets Atiku, Tables New Demands For 2023

Seyi Makinde has presented Atiku with a new demand for the 2023 Election.

Touchaheart News reports that Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State in southwest Nigeria, has demanded the resignation of Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP’s national chairman.

This online news source reports that Seyi Makinde made this statement during a meeting of South-West PDP stakeholders with Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate.

Iyorchia Ayu’s resignation as PDP Chairman, according to the governor of Oyo State, is intended to give the South African population a sense of inclusion in the main opposition party.

Seyi Makinde and Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, have been arguing with the PDP about the North’s representation in the party’s national chairmanship and its presidential candidate.

However, in his welcome address, he described Atiku as “the incoming President of Nigeria in 2023.”

The Oyo State Governor’s description of Atiku elicited loud applause from PDP stakeholders at the venue of the meeting.

He said, “The truth is that we do not have any issue either with our party or our candidate. If there are challenges they must be tabled.

“We are supposed to give hope to our people, we want them to listen to us.

“Our party wants to rescue Nigeria and our candidate is a unifier.

He wants to restructure Nigeria

“Eight years of APC has left us sharply divided. The issue is we must practice what we preach. If we want to unify Nigeria, we must unify PDP first.

“If we want to restructure Nigeria, we must have the willingness to bring inclusivity to PDP. Do we have the capacity? The answer is a resounding yes.

“The message from South West PDP is the South-West is asking that NWC of PDP should be restructured.

“We are asking the National Chairman to step down so that the South will be fully included. That is the message.”
