Touchaheart reports that social media users are furious after Ubi Franklin, a music businessman, raised the alarm of an alleged r*pe of a 10-year-old girl at Chrisland School in Victoria Island Garden Capital (VGC), Lagos State, Nigeria’s commercial city.

This online news outlet reports that the school authorities suspended the 10-year-old kid in the Chrisland School viral video on April 14 after she engaged in s*xual intercourse with her classmates.

According to information received by Touchaheart Nigeria, the Chrisland School viral video event occurred in March during the World School Games in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Ubi Franklin detailed how his friend’s 10-year-old daughter was r*ped during a school competition in Dubai and was later suspended from the school, Chrisland Schools, in a now-viral Instagram post.

Chrisland Schools is a group of schools that provide education to Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School students in Nigeria, with campuses in Lagos and Abuja.

The parents discovered out after another parent at the school contacted them, according to Ubi Franklin’s Twitter page @ubifranklin1. When the incident occurred, the child had been chosen to represent her school at the World School Games in Dubai, he said.

The music manager said, “Just got off the phone with a friend of mine, his 10-year-old daughter was selected to represent her school at the World School Games in Dubai. His daughter was raped by fellow students, video tapped and posted on Instagram, and the school concealed it for a month”.

Ubi added, “He found out (referring to his friend) on his own when another parent called his wife and showed his wife the video of his 10-year-old daughter being circulated on Instagram in what has now been tagged as the Chrisland school video saga by Netizens.

“I have spent the last one hour listening to confessional statements by some teachers, and I am begging.

“UPDATE ON MY PREVIOUS POST”, Ubi continued, “This school took the girl from her parents that they wanted to conduct a Covid test and the school rather took the girl for a pregnancy test. As we speak, the girl has been SUSPENDED from the school. Some things don’t make sense at all”.

Following Ubi Franklin’s post on the Chrisland School Video incident, Nigerians on social media began naming Chrisland School Lagos, which was followed by a Chrisland media statement detailing what had happened.

Pupils from the school travelled to Dubai in March to compete in the World School Games, which will take place between March 10 and 13, 2022. However, the school administrators claimed that the girl engaged in “improper behaviour” in a letter to the girl’s parents dated April 14, 2022, which was received by this Newspaper.

According to the school located in Victoria Island Lagos, she took part in a truth or dare game and “consequently, (name redacted) is hereby placed on indefinite suspension until you as the parent ensure that she is punished, adequately counselled and rehabilitated”.

In the seven-paragraph letter signed by the Principal Mrs. Azike, it says “In line with our core values centered on discipline, Chrisland schools have zero tolerance for any improper behaviour or misconduct,”.

The school noted that other students who participated in the games had been suspended and that the girl and her parents had refused to cooperate in the investigation, but made no mention of rape.

In a video released by Ubi Franklin on Instagram, the mother of the student in the Chrisland School video story recalls her experience with the school, saying the school had phoned her to inform her of a kissing game involving her daughter under their care. She pleaded for Nigerians to intercede, claiming that the institution had been questioning her daughter without her knowledge.

“They’ve been threatening my daughter, that if she speaks out they’re going to kill her, that it is a men’s world, that she should keep quiet that she shouldn’t disclose to me”, the mother said the daughter had been “dying in silence”.

“They took her to go and do pregnancy test without me knowing”, she added.

Lagos State Shuts Down Chrisland School All Over Lagos

Following the viral sex films of several Chrisland students, the Lagos state government has shut down all of the school’s branches in the state.

According to a statement made by the state government, an investigation into the regrettable situation has been initiated. A criminal allegation regarding the regrettable incident has also been escalated to the state police, according to the statement.

Anyone caught making, distributing, receiving, or possessing child pornography is guilty of a crime and faces a fourteen-year prison sentence, according to the state government.

The statement reads

”The attention of the Lagos State Government has been drawn to the alleged sexual violence case involving students of Chrisland Schools which occurred in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It is pertinent to note that all allegations are being investigated by the relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies, including Ministry of Education, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Ministry of Justice and the Lagos State Domestic & Sexual Violence Agency, whilst the criminal allegations have been escalated to the Commissioner of Police.

In view of the allegations, we are committed to ensuring that adequate medical and pscyho social support is provided.

This is to reassure members of the public of the State Government’s commitment to safety and child protection, especially in ensuring that all child-centered institutions within the state, formulate and implement policies and systems that are compliant with the Executive Order (NO.EO/AA08 of 2016), Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Program.

We also use this medium to remind the general public that any person who engages in any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a child, commits an offence and is liable to custodial sentence of fourteen (14) years. This includes “producing, distributing, receiving, or possessing an image of pornography”.

In the meantime, all Chrisland Schools within Lagos State are hereby closed, pending further investigations.
