Osinbajo adds his signature to the Queen Elizabeth II condolence register
At the Lancaster House in London on Sunday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo signed the Queen Elizabeth II condolence register.

This information was made public by the Office of the Vice President.
In his statement, the vice president referred to the late Queen Elizabeth II as a monarch for all seasons who united people from throughout the globe.
“Nigeria joins the government and people of the UK, the Commonwealth, and the rest of the world in expressing our sincere condolence to the royal family on the passing of a monarch for all seasons.
“May the Lord bless her memory,” he said.
At various points throughout the day on Sunday, the vice president joined other international leaders in paying their respects to the late British monarch at the Queen’s lying in state.
Along with other royals and Heads of State and Government, world leaders like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, American President Joe Biden, and French President Emmanuel Macron attended the lying in state ceremony at Westminster Hall.
Osinbajo and James Cleverly, the foreign secretary of the UK, met separately later.
They talked about how to strengthen bilateral trade relations, with a focus on giving Nigerian entrepreneurs more possibilities and assisting the nation’s climate goals.
The two spoke about how crucial it is to fortify the international coalition against insecurity in the Sahel and horn of Africa.

He expressed appreciation for Nigeria’s friendship and solidarity with the UK during the mourning period for the monarch as well as during the celebration of the late Queen’s life and times.
As of the time of publication, King Charles III is welcoming the vice president and other distinguished guests for a banquet at Buckingham Palace as part of preparations for the British monarch’s state funeral.
Osinbajo will also be present at the Queen’s memorial service on Monday at Westminster Abbey.
