The BBNaija stars Alex and Tobi Bakre have announced the death of their friend and coworker Rico Swavey, also known as Patrick Fakoya, who had been put on a life support machine following a car accident.

Following the incident, Nigerian celebrities started a fundraising campaign for Patrick Fakoya, alias Rico Swavey, a former Big Brother Naija housemate.
While we hope and pray for Rico, we will also do what we can. All donations go to his mum’s account.

Tobi Bakre, a fellow BBNaija ex-housemate, announced it on his Twitter page on Wednesday while soliciting money from the public.
Bakre posted a picture of Rico Swavey in the hospital along with the information that the accident victim had been given life support on his Twitter page.
Bakre tweeted, “Please help save Rico. He had a really bad car accident.
“We have to keep him on life support and continue to pay the rising medical bills while we pray for God’s miracle.
“(We) can’t do it alone. Please click on the link to donate at ricoswavey.com.”
