    1. Following the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the FG announced on Thursday that it was developing a new trade policy with countries that used to be part of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or USSR, with whom it has significant mutual trade ties. The administration also stated that it has finalized plans to begin 24-hour port operations in order to address the problem of port congestion in Lagos.

    2. Mr. Sola Adams, a member of the Ogun House of Assembly, has condemned elephants’ invasion of farmlands in Itashin, Ijebu East Local Government Area, which resulted in the injury of a farmer. Adams, speaking at the plenary in Abeokuta, expressed concern about the recent incident in which elephants attacked villagers in his area.

    3. The event took place right after Soludo took his oath of office at the government residence.

Senator James Akpanudoedehe, Secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, has received a vote of no confidence from members of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
