Elon Musk Is On His Way To Become The World’s First Trillionaire
Touchaheart Nigeria reports that according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Elon Musk is the world’s richest individual, with a net worth of $242 billion.
He may become the first member of the four-comma club, despite already being the world’s wealthiest individual.
According to The Guardian, Morgan Stanley analysts believe that Musk, 50, will become the world’s first trillionaire, owing to his aerospace company SpaceX, according to People.com.
“More than one client has told us that if Elon Musk were to become the first trillionaire… it won’t be because of Tesla,” analyst Adam Jones told the newspaper, referring to the electric car company behind the majority of his wealth to date.
“Others have said SpaceX may eventually be the most highly valued company in the world — in any industry,” Jones added.
Despite the fact that people have yet to reach Mars through SpaceX’s Starship — one of Musk’s company ambitions — the enhanced launch system already has high expectations following the success of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon.
“As one client put it, ‘talking about space before Starship is like talking about the internet before Google,’ ” explains Jones.
According to CNBC, the value of SpaceX jumped to $100.3 billion earlier this month, up from $74 billion in February.
According to The Guardian, the valuation put SpaceX, of which Musk controls approximately 48 percent, the world’s second-largest privately held company.
This year, SpaceX has achieved a number of milestones, including the first successful launch and landing of a Starship rocket. SpaceX launched the first all-civilian crew into orbit last month.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk’s net worth is presently estimated to be $242 billion.
Tesla is still his most valuable asset. Musk momentarily surpassed Jeff Bezos to become the world’s richest person in January, only to relinquish the title to the Amazon billionaire the following month.
Following the completion of a SpaceX funding round, Musk was able to reclaim his position a few days later, according to Fortune.
According to Bloomberg, Bezos is the world’s second richest person, with a net worth of $197 billion.
He is followed by Bernard Arnault ($163 billion), Bill Gates ($133 billion), and Mark Zuckberg ($127 billion).
Since the beginning of last year, Musk’s fortunes have risen dramatically. Musk was rated 35th on their list of billionaires in January 2020, but according to Bloomberg, his net worth increased by $100.3 billion that year. In November of that year, he became the world’s second richest person.
According to Bloomberg at the time, Musk’s cash explosion coincided with Tesla’s market share reaching $500 billion, an all-time high for the electric manufacturer.
According to Bloomberg, the billionaire has boosted his fortune by $72 billion this year, a 42.4 percent gain from this time last year.
