The Nigerian National Council of Traditional Rulers has urged the President-elect, Bola Tinubu to keep his campaign promises.
The council’s Etsu Nupe and Chairman Coordinating Committee, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, made the call in a congratulatory message to the president-elect on Friday in Abuja.
The council applauds Tinubu’s commitment to serving the country and Nigerians, and they pray to Almighty Allah to grant him the wisdom he needs to succeed.
“The National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, chaired by Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, Sultan of Sokoto, and co-chaired by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi-Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, Board of Trustees, National Executive Committee, and the Coordinating Committee, as well as the other members of the Council, hereby congratulate President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“And the Vice President-Elect, Sen. Kashim Shettima, on their electoral victories and INEC declarations as President-Elect and Vice President-Elect, respectively.
“As Custodians of Nigeria’s Traditional Institutions, the Council welcomes the President-commitment Elect’s to serve Nigeria and Nigerians, and thus prays that Almighty God will grant Tinubu and Shettima the wisdom and courage to deliver on their promises and mandate,” the statement said.
