Son And Wives Of Taraba Monarch Kidnapped In Taraba State

The Taraba monarch's son and two women abducted.
On Friday, March 3, gunmen kidnapped two wives and a boy of HRH Dan-Salama Adamu, the Chief of Sarkin Kudu in Taraba State's Ibi Local Government Area.

Gunmen kidnapped the wives and son of Chief of Sarkin Kudu in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, HRH Dan-Salama Adamu were on Friday night, March 3.

According to family insiders who spoke to Punch, the armed men who broke into the traditional ruler’s Serkin Kudu home while he was away shot randomly before kidnapping his wives and son.

A family member said;

“The gunmen are yet to establish contact with anybody. We pray for the safety of the victims. For now, they have not contacted us so we can’t talk about how much they are demanding for ransom.

“None of the victim’s phone number is going through, but we are trusting God for their safety.”

The incident was confirmed by DSP Usman Abdullahi, Public Relations Officer for the Taraba State Police. According to Abdullahi, a few suspects have been detained in relation to the event.

 

He added that efforts were being made to rescue the victims and apprehend the remaining suspects, and that the suspects who had been arrested were giving the police valuable information.
