Delta: INEC postpones collation until Monday after Oborevwori's victory in Ethiopia
After defeating the incumbent governor in his native local government of Ethiope West on Sunday, Chief James Onanefe Ibori was humiliated by the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, candidate for governor in Delta State.

After defeating the incumbent governor in his native local government of Ethiope West on Sunday, Chief James Onanefe Ibori was humiliated by the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, candidate for governor in Delta State.

Chief Sheriff Oborevwori received 7,065 votes in the local elections, according to the results compiled by the State Collation Officer, Prof. Georgewill Owuneri, while Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC received 6,758 votes for governor and Mr. Ken Pela of the Labour Party received 304 votes.

Owuneri announced a break in the collation process after collating Ethiopia West, which raised the total number of Local Government Areas collated so far to 18 out of the 25. He added the findings analysis would continue Monday at 9 a.m.

According to the State Collation Officer, Dr Georgewill Owuneri, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori received 7,065 votes, while APC governorship candidate Senator Ovie Omo-Agege received 6,758 votes and Labour Party candidate Mr Ken Pela received 304 votes.

Owuneri announced a halt in the collation exercise after collating Ethiope West, bringing the total number of Local Government Areas collated so far to 18 out of the 25. He stated that further results collation would resume at 9 a.m. on Monday.
