UNIBEN Final Year Student Shot Dead In Hostel

touchaheart Nigeria reports that in what seemed to be a cult-related occurrence, an unidentified gunman shot and killed Desmond, a final-year University of Benin student, to death in his room at the Hall 3 Hostel on Monday. Desmond was simply known as Desmond.

In the Department of Public Administration, the late student known as “Mayor” was reportedly enrolled when he was shot on Monday at around 9 o’clock.

The incident sent pupils into a frenzy. Before he was assassinated, he was reportedly a Kegite chief.

The victim, according to a student who asked to remain anonymous, was shot in the face at close range.

The pupil remarked, “Desmond’s death has sparked terror among the school. Even staying in the dorms causes students anxiety. Having been shot in the face, he had no possibility of escaping the assault.

His remains, as of the time of reporting this story, had reportedly been placed in the mortuary at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.

Nevertheless, attempts to get a response from the institution were unsuccessful since a WhatsApp message sent to Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, the university’s public relations officer, received no response.
