ALAT by Wema, Africa’s first totally digital bank, is commemorating its sixth anniversary by launching “Sounds of ALAT,” a boot camp and creative workshop aimed at encouraging emerging creatives in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

The event, which will take place at Wema Bank’s Purple Academy from May 1st to May 5th, 2023, will provide participants with top-tier industry information as well as the opportunity to win up to five million naira for the design of the next ALAT jingle.

Sounds of ALAT is a co-creation initiative that brings together celebrities, facilitators, and judges from diverse industries, such as scriptwriters, producers, recording artists, sound mixers, A&R talent managers, and enthusiasts.

To participate and kickstart your music career, simply download ALAT from the iOS or Play Store, upload a 1-minute video of your Sounds of ALAT demo to Instagram, tag @Alat ng, and use the hashtags #SoundsofALATEntries and #ALATat6.

From the submitted entries, 50 will be chosen for the boot camp, with the best ten receiving proper training from competent judges who are celebrities with expertise and solid track records in the creative business.

The top three players will compete for a cash prize of 3 million Naira for the winner, 2 million Naira for the first runner-up, and 1 million Naira for the second runner-up, as well as numerous consolation prizes and branded products.
