Iconic singer, Tina Turner died yesterday at the age of 83 in her home in Küsnacht, Switzerland, not far from Zurich after a protracted illness, Daily Mail reports.
The ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll’ was how many referred to her. Her managers issued a statement that read, “With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.”

She was born in 1939, in Tennessee’s Brownsville. She rose to fame in the 1970s as a member of the Ike and Tina Turner combo before beginning one of the most successful solo careers of any female singer in history.
