Tinubu, Shettima update Twitter Bio

Bola Tinubu, the new president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Kashim Shettima, his vice president, both updated their profiles on Twitter shortly after being sworn in.

Tinubu who was sworn in Today currently has 1.9 million followers on the popular microblogging site. As of press time, his bio reads, “President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

Similarly, the newly sworn-in vice president, Kashim Shettima who has so far amassed over 200,000 followers on Twitter updated his bio to read, “Vice-president, Federal Republic of Nigeria/ former senator, Borno central district/ former governor of Borno state.”

Tinubu, a former senator and governor of Lagos State, and Shettima, his running mate, were both declared the winners of the February 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

A total of 8,794,726 votes were cast for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, beating out Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, who received 6,984,520 votes overall. Peter Obi of the Labour Party finished third with 6,101,533 votes, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP finished fourth with 1,496,687 votes.
