See video of DSS arresting Godwin Emefiele at the airport
A video that LIB received showed Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank of Nigeria’s suspended governor, being detained by DSS agents at the airport while purportedly trying to exit the country.

The DSS agents took Emefiele away after forcing him out of the car he was in. The troubled suspended CBN Governor is currently in DSS detention for “investigative reasons,” said to DSS spokesperson Peter Afunanya.
The statement read;
“EMEFIELE, NOW IN DSS CUSTODY
The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative reasons.
The public, particularly the Media, is enjoined to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning this.
