How Wizkid Lost His Mum

The well-known Nigerian artist, Wizkid, lost his mother in a tragic sequence of events.

Reports gathered by Touchaheart News states that she passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, after a prolonged battle with cancer. The late Mrs. Balogun, who was 64 years old, breathed her last in a London hospital.

Wizkid’s deep affection for his mother was evident, as he dedicated considerable time and care to her during her illness. The passing of his mother has left the 33-year-old artist devastated, alongside his two sisters who are also grieving her loss. In previous interviews, Wizkid’s mother expressed her profound love for her son, who is the only male among his father’s thirteen children.

Wizkid, also known as Ayodeji Balogun, a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and performer, lost his mother early this morning, Friday, August 18, 2023, according to reports from a close friend of the musician.

Mrs. Balogun, was a pillar of support for her son’s flourishing career, often seen showing her support for him on from the sidelines at concerts and events.

Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has not yet made a public statement regarding the loss.

The cause of the death of Wizkid’s mum is still unknown to the public.
