Nigerian-American superstar singer, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has welcomed twins with his wife, Chioma Rowland, in the United States on Tuesday.

Music executive, Ovie, confirmed the news in a post via X on Tuesday.
He wrote: “Confirmed. Davido and Chioma. Double blessings.”
Davido and Chioma have not announced the birth on social media.
Iyabo Ojo confirms Davido, Chioma welcomed twins, shares hospital video
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo posted a video of afrobeat artist Davido and his wife Chioma welcoming twins at a US hospital.
Touchaheart Nigeria reports that the singer is reportedly expecting twins, and this rumor is currently spreading on social media.
Iyabo Ojo confirmed the news on Wednesday and congratulated the couple on their new blessing in an Instagram post.
Sharing the video of the couple on the hospital bed, the actress wrote: “Congratulations, @thechefchi & @davido, on your jewels of inestimable values. God’s protection, provision, and happiness forever.”
Taking to the actress’s comments section, an Instagram user @Sharonmoses wrote: “Iyabo this is an old video of Ifeanyi’s birth.”
Responding to her, the movie star said “@officialsharonmoses it’s yesterday’s video dear.”
While celebrities like Victoria Inyama, Junior Pope and Daddy Freeze among others have congratulated the couple, Davido and Chioma have not announced the birth on social media.
Susan Peters, Daddy Freeze Rejoice With Davido, Chioma On The Birth Of twins
The first celebrities to congratulate singer Davido and his wife Chioma on the birth of their twins are Nollywood actress Susan Peters and media personality Daddy Freeze.
The news that Davido and his wife Chioma welcomed a second child—which many believe to be twins—is no longer breaking.
Davido, further fueled the rumors after he hinted at his wife becoming ‘Mama Ibeji’ (mother of twins) in one of his songs on his Album, Timeless.
In a song titled ‘In The Garden’, which features Morravey, Davido in his lyrics said, “Abi mo meji, mama Ibeji”.
The singer had also tweeted on Sunday that this week would be the best week in his life.
His brother, Adewale Adeleke further fueled the rumors as he gave thanks to God on Twitter.
Though not revealing further, he tweeted, “We thank God”.
Now taking to Instagram, Daddy Freeze and Susan Peters are celebrating with the couple.
Daddy Freeze wrote, “Congratulations to Davido as his wife gives birth”.
Susan Peters, on her part, noted how God gave them double for their pain.
Calling them ‘Papa and Mama Ejima’, she rejoiced with the couple.
“Congratulations 001 and 002. @davido and @thechefchi happy for you both. GOD gave you double. Papa and Mama Ejima”.
Investigative writer Kemi Olunloyo, who provided information regarding the twins’ birth, also corroborated the rumors.
Kemi revealed that on Monday, October 9, 2023, in Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, US, Chioma gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl.
She stated that Chioma had a cesarean section (CS) at 38 weeks to deliver her twins after being on bed rest for 90 days.
Nigerian clergyman, Pastor Gospel Agochukwu, of Shekinah Arena International Ministries also confirmed the birth of their twins.
In a post on his Facebook page, the clergyman congratulated the couple on their new bundle of joy.
He shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp message, acknowledging that his prophecy of last year has come true. From the chat, someone had claimed that the couple had welcomed twins – a boy and a girl at 9 p.m., though the date wasn’t revealed.
Recall that the clergyman had revealed that he had received a divine promise that Davido and Chioma would welcome twins.
If true, the birth of their twins would be a ray of light for the couple who lost their first child, a baby boy at 3 years.
