The women Emancipation in Politics believes that the ray of hope is blowing around Uvwie LGA as they rally support for Raymond Ighomrore as the Chairman of the local government area.
Touchaheart Nigeria reports that according to the group Raymond Ighomrore is a front burner of women Emancipation in Politics and governance in Uvwie and Delta State at large.
Speaking at the event Raymond Ighomrore said that women should never been seen as the minority in our democratic society using Uvwie LGA as a referral.
” Investing in our women is smart economic and investing in girls and catching them upstream is even smarter economics.”
“Think about it, women control 70 percent of global consumer spending.”
“As a matter of fact, we cannot just look at a country, state and LGA like Uvwie by looking at charts, graphs, and modeling the economy.”
“Behind the numbers there are people prided women.” he said.
Part of Raymond’s recovery plan and convenant with Uvwie LGA is to ensure that women are generally given space and appointed to jobs.
The group called on the great people of Uvwie to look in the direction of Raymond Ighomrore as they have observed in many instances that when women are eventually called upon as part of the solution provider, to sort out the issues they are completely focused on restoring the situation.
“As an esteemed campaign team and foot soldiers of Raymond Ighomrore Chairmanship bid, we are calling on our potential women in Uvwie to pray and support Raymond to take over the office of Chairman Uvwie council LGA, come 2024 local government elections.” The group said.
