How a Nigerian Woman's Early Morning Cooking Went Viral and Changed Her Life

Touchaheart – Mummy Zee, or Debbie, is a Nigerian woman who has become an overnight sensation on X (former Twitter). She shared a post on the social media platform about three days ago that sparked a lot of reactions and discussions.

In her post, she confessed: “I’ve always been too lazy to wake up and get his lunch ready.

But the day he told me a colleague brought two spoons so he’ll eat with her was the day I set my alarm for 4:50 a.m.”

Mixed Reactions From Netizens

Her honest admission triggered a heated debate among netizens, who had different opinions about the wisdom of waking up at dawn to cook for a partner.

The controversy intensified when netizens discovered that she was pregnant. Some condemned her for enduring such inconvenience and called it “slavery and glorification.”

Others commended her for her devotion. Some others accused her of being insecure and questioned her motives.

A Surprising Turn of Events

However, what Mummy Zee did not expect was that her post would go viral, attracting the attention of thousands of people.

Her page, which had less than 1k followers, skyrocketed to about 86.4k followers.

Along with the popularity came an astonishing display of generosity, as many felt that she deserved to be rewarded for her diligence towards her husband.

In a span of 48 hours, Debbie and her husband received over 5 million naira in cash donations, as well as various gifts, such as household items.

Her husband landed a high-paying job with a scholarship for a Tech course, and they received a brand-new Dell laptop.

The list of gifts grew to include two Infinix phones, an iPhone 15 Pro Max and an iPhone 13, paid for by a benevolent individual.

A Flood of Gifts from X Users

The generosity did not stop at phones, as Mummy Zee also received a 65-inch Samsung TV, 1-year cable TV subscription, a bedside fridge, a job offer for her husband, 1-year fully paid legal assistance, 1-year paid rent for a 2-bed apartment, a free visit visa to Canada, and even an offer of a Brazilian passport.

A real estate company pledged N1 million, later topped by an individual gifting them a 3-bedroom bungalow.

Mummy Zee‘s fortunes continued with a new remote job, a respectable salary, and a free medical insurance package for her entire family, including the unborn child, for a year.

Remarkably, diapers for her child will be provided until the child turns one.

Kuda Bank joined the festive mood by adding ₦2 000 000 to her already impressive account balance.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Ltd. also showed their support.

The oil firm tweeted: “Hello @_Debbie_OA, we love your amazing love story. And we would like to gift you a free ₦200,000 PMS voucher. (It is) redeemable at any of our 900+ retail stations nationwide.”

“This will ensure that Mummy Zee has #EnergyforToday and #EnergyforTomorrow. We have just followed you. Please check your DM. Best wishes.”

Mummy Zee is still receiving gifts as of this writing. The promises keep coming, as do the opinions and comments.
