Veteran Nollywood actor, Mr. Ibu is dead

Nollywood actor John Okafor, 62, popularly known as Mr. Ibu has been reported dead.

This was seen in a post from an X user on his X handle where he showed information from a friend who reportedly works at the hospital/care center where Mr. Ibu was receiving treatment, saying that veteran actor is dead.

According to multiple reports from sources close to him, the veteran comedian passed away at Evercare hospital.

Although the cause of his death is not stated, we, however, recall that late last year, Mr. Ibu took to his Instagram handle to plead for financial support to treat the chronic illness he was battling.

It was also reported that his family had said he had undergone 7 surgeries in trying to cure the illness.

Many fans have shared condolences on X, reminiscing movies the late actor has featured.
