Comment on Islamisation: El-Rufai should be invited by the DSS — MBF

Abuja—In light of recent Islamisation comments attributed to him, the North Central regional group, Middle Belt Forum, MBF, yesterday described the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai, as a dangerous politician and asked the Department of State Service, DSS, to summon him for questioning.

It also raised awareness that, contrary to denials, the agenda for Nigeria’s planned Islamization was real and not a fluke.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr Isuwa Dogo, the NBF advised President Bola Tinubu and current Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, to keep him at arm’s length.

The group was reacting to what it called provocative remarks by el-Rufai on the eve of his departure, in which he told some Islamic preachers how he and others plotted to enthrone the same-faith ticket in Kaduna State, which was later successfully replicated at the federal level.

In the video clip, the former governor recalled how he and others were determined to keep the Muslim-Muslim ticket going for another 20 years so that Christians could accept the necessity of the same-faith ticket as a panacea for peace in both Kaduna State and the federal level.

But, according to Dogo, what el-Rufai never told his chosen preachers was that “the state he ruled and ruined for eight years was turned into Nigeria’s headquarters of kidnappings and human barbarities, leading to the murder of tens of thousands of people and the decimation of over 100 communities.”

“There is no doubt that this former governor is a clear present and future threat to our nation’s unity.” He is subtly working for a group that is unwaveringly and persistently aiming to establish the supremacy of Islam in the corridors of power.

“Both Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be wary of associating with him.”

“This small but dangerous manipulator, skilled in the politics of deploying religious sentiments, should not be allowed near power corridors.” He has evolved into a national scourge that must be avoided at all costs.

“The forum urges Nigerian security agencies not only to keep the former governor on their radar, but also to invite him for a chat.”

“Given the comments he made in front of the clerics, the man with an inferiority complex must be regarded as a dangerous politician riding on the wings of religion for relevance.”

“We hereby condemn el-remarks Rufai’s before the clerics as a heinous act of national hypocrisy steeped in a premeditated plot to drive adherents of both religions to war.”

El-and Rufai’s his nebulous co-travellers’ attempts to push our nation down the slippery slope of religious tension and bigotry, according to Dogo, were outrageously deceptive.

He claimed that the outrage over the el-Rufai video clip demonstrated Nigerians’ disappointment with the former governor’s outburst, which was intended to incite religious conflagration in order to destabilise the Nigerian state.

“The unfortunate comments by this bigot, who is mistakenly thought to be a nationalist and public intellectual, portray him as a divisive leader, who not only thrives on chaos, but also reveals him as an irredeemable religious extremist whose antecedents as governor showcase him as a treacherous enemy of Nigeria that must be barred from the corridors of power,” he said.

“Even before now, the forum has never been duped by the former governor’s pretentiousness, whose stock in trade is divisiveness hidden beneath the thin covering of public intellectualism and patriotism.”

“When the Senate declared the man who speaks before he thinks incapable of holding public office, many agreed with the recommendation of the National Assembly’s upper chamber.” Unfortunately, he rose to power and unleashed his sadistic venom on both Christians and Muslims.
