In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded on Wednesday afternoon in the Halleluyah Area of Ido-Osun, Osun State, a nursing mother identified as Mummy Basira faced a horrifying encounter with two Alsatian dogs.

Touchaheart Nigeria reports that the dogs, unexpectedly jumping out of an abandoned building, attacked the mother and seized the baby she had lovingly strapped to her back.

The consequences were devastating, leading to panic and helplessness among the residents who witnessed the gruesome incident.

Around 3 pm, the tranquility of the neighborhood was shattered by the dogs’ sudden aggression.

The helpless nursing mother watched in horror as the dogs brutally attacked her precious baby.

Despite her valiant efforts to save her child from the ferocious jaws of the animals, the mother was unable to thwart the horrifying attack.

The attack resulted in the tragic death of the innocent baby, leaving the residents in a state of shock.

An anonymous eyewitness recounted the distressing scene, stating, “We all watched helplessly. ”

“The dogs, we were told, jumped out of a building that is not currently inhabited by anyone and seized the baby said to be about five months strapped to the back by the mother, and battered her.”

As the struggle ensued, the mother’s courageous attempt to rescue her child was met with further tragedy.

The dogs, driven by their aggression, turned their attention to the mother herself, leaving her battered and injured.

The injured woman was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital in Osogbo for urgent medical attention.

According to the eyewitness, “The house where the dogs came out from is not inhabited, but residents know those that used to visit the place.”

” They have been calling their mobile numbers, but their lines have been switched off. ”

“The tension is presently high in that neighborhood. We reported the matter at Estate Police Station in Osogbo.”

Official Confirmation and Action

Upon being contacted, Osun State Police Command Spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the harrowing incident.

She informed that law enforcement officials were fully aware of the tragedy and had initiated a manhunt for the owners of the dogs.

Opalola stated firmly, “Police are aware of the incident.”

“We are already looking for the owners of the dogs. We will ensure that justice is served.”
